The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested five young people (four minors and one adult) on January 20 for the knife attack on two minors at Parc Central in Igualada, an incident that took place on the night of December 19-20.

The massive brawl occurred between 4 and 5 a.m., requiring the mobilization of the Catalan police, local police, and emergency services. Both victims were taken to different hospitals with significant injuries.
One of the two victims sustained extremely serious injuries, requiring urgent surgical intervention and admission to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The investigation conducted by the Mossos from the Igualada police station allowed them to determine the chronology of events and identify the five alleged perpetrators, who were not previously known to the victims.
The four detained minors have been placed under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, while the adult woman will appear before the court in Igualada. All five are accused of a crime of serious injury.
