The main objective of the new plan is to consolidate existing good practices while addressing major future challenges for the young population. These challenges include access to housing, ensuring quality employment, promoting emotional well-being, active participation, and inclusion.
The balance of the previous plan, which covered the period 2022–2026, has been deemed very positive by the council. 89% of the planned actions were successfully executed, reaching 8,783 young people, 641 families, 230 professionals, and 49 entities in the city.
The total investment in the previous plan amounted to 264,458.48 euros, an amount that was co-financed by the Diputació de Barcelona and the Generalitat de Catalunya, highlighting inter-institutional collaboration in youth policies.
The drafting process for the new plan is accompanied by a new visual identity, designed by Roger Mula, symbolizing a “living” plan in constant evolution. To ensure direct involvement, the City Council has launched an online survey, and in-person and sectoral participation spaces will be defined soon.
