Hundreds of people gathered at Passeig Verdaguer in Igualada this Tuesday to celebrate the Three Kings Fair, maintaining the tradition despite the intense cold and recent snowfall.

The Igualada Three Kings Fair, reaching its 73rd modern edition, once again demonstrated its convening power. The freezing thermal sensation, still present after the previous day's snowfall, did not deter visitors, as the winter sun helped make the day more bearable.
From early morning, Passeig Verdaguer transformed into an ephemeral commercial street with over 200 stalls selling seedlings, agricultural products, food, and crafts. Farmers and visitors filled the space looking for the first seedlings of the year or local products, well bundled up, but enjoying the lively atmosphere that characterizes the event.
For many Igualada residents, walking around the fair before the Kings' Day lunch remains a deeply rooted custom that combines tradition, strolling, and social gathering, with many families carrying the traditional tortell de Reis.

Neither the cold nor the snow stopped a tradition that year after year turns the city into a meeting point for residents and visitors from across the region.

In parallel, the Parc de l’Estació Vella hosted the Antiques Market, featuring about 80 second-hand dealers and collectors. This area also registered a good turnout, especially as the sun gained prominence and slightly softened the low temperatures.
