The visit by the highest official of the Firefighters corps, accompanied by Joan Rovira i Morató, head of the Metropolitan South Emergency Region, allowed for a firsthand understanding of the municipality's needs and the assessment of including Piera in the upcoming strategic deployment of new stations.
This meeting opens the door to strengthening the territorial coverage of emergency services, improving proximity and efficiency in response to fires, accidents, and other risk situations in the area.
The City Council of Piera has positively valued the interest shown by Generalitat officials and will continue working to highlight the opportunities the municipality offers to host this key infrastructure for citizen safety.
Although a final decision is still under evaluation, the meeting represents an important advancement in improving the prevention and protection of the citizens of Piera and its surroundings.
