Mossos d'Esquadra officers arrested a 39-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman in Pujalt on Sunday, January 18, after their car, full of stolen goods, became trapped in the mud.

Around midnight on Saturday, officers from the Igualada police station received a report of a robbery at a warehouse in Pujalt. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle immobilized by mud with the two occupants inside, who had called a tow truck.
The police identified the 39-year-old man and the 31-year-old woman and noticed that the car contained numerous items. When questioned, the man admitted they had taken the objects from an open storage room nearby.
After contacting the storage room owner, the Mossos d'Esquadra confirmed that the objects matched the stolen property. A subsequent search of the vehicle also revealed the tools used to force open the warehouse door.
The two occupants were arrested as alleged perpetrators of robbery with force and were brought before the duty court in Igualada on Monday, January 19. The stolen items were returned to their rightful owner.
