The municipal proposal will enable citizens to utilize household organic waste to produce compost, a valuable resource for soil and a contribution to environmental sustainability. To facilitate this, the City Council will provide the necessary materials to start the process, including a composter, a 10-liter brown bin, a sieve, an aerator, and a thermometer.
In addition to the starter kit, registered participants will receive technical advice to learn how to compost correctly and maximize the benefits of organic waste.
To raise awareness about the initiative, two informational sessions with material distribution have been scheduled. The first will take place on Wednesday, November 4th, at 6 PM, at the Centre de Serveis del Nucli Antic. The second will be held on Thursday, November 5th, at the same time, at Mont-Àgora.
Interested individuals can register at the Information Point «Amb tu, Montbui Recicla!». In the Urban Center, the point is located at Mont-Àgora (Passeig de Catalunya, s/n) and is open on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 AM to 1 PM, and alternate Saturdays from 10 AM to 1 PM. In the Old Town, the Municipal Services Center (carrer d’Anselm Clavé, 3) is open on Wednesdays from 4 PM to 7 PM.
Registration can also be done by phone at 617 592 490 or via email at montbui.mediambient@montbui.cat.
