Councilor Maria Menis detailed at the plenary session held in Arròs the initiatives aimed at giving voice to young people and raising awareness about violence. The first 'Fòrum Joenessa', held on April 25th, aims to be a stable space for youth participation in the Val d'Aran, where young people can express their needs and proposals to improve youth policies.
Menis explained that the forum's objective is to establish itself as a structured space for collecting young people's voices, enabling their demands to reach the Government of Aran directly and for them to actively participate in policy definition.
The campaign 'Aquí nos conocemos, aquí nos cuidamos' seeks to raise public awareness against violence in nightlife venues. With messages of non-tolerance primarily directed at potential aggressors, the initiative aims to foster awareness and responsibility, and will be promoted during the summer festivals in the Val d'Aran.
Additionally, the Conselh Generau d’Aran has definitively approved the new ordinance regulating motorized access to the natural environment. This regulation updates and adapts current legislation to ensure sustainability, environmental preservation, and management of the Aran territory, largely mirroring Law 9/1995 from the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The new ordinance implements specific measures to regulate motorized access in natural areas during periods of maximum visitor influx, particularly along the banks of Valarties, Aiguamòg, and the Joèu river, as well as in the areas of Bassa d’Oles, Bassa d’Arres, and Varradòs-Saut deth Pish.
The ordinance was approved with votes in favor from Unitat d’Aran and votes against from Convergència Democràtica Aranesa.
