Aran to receive 1.9 million euros in new Catalan Government budget

The Catalan Government has presented its 2026 budget proposal, which allocates 1.9 million euros specifically for the Aran region.

Total investment for the Alt Pirineu and Aran area will reach 63.1 million euros, marking a 49% increase compared to the 2023 budget. The overall Generalitat budget has grown to a record 49.162 billion euros, focusing on public services and infrastructure.
Key priorities for the mountain regions include road improvements (16 million euros), waste management (12.6 million), and tourism promotion through ski resorts (8.9 million). The Cerdanya and Alt Urgell districts will receive the highest allocations in the region.
