The Governing Council of the Institute for the Development and Promotion of the High Pyrenees and Aran (IDAPA) has met in Vielha to coordinate the Generalitat's territorial strategies until 2030.

The meeting, held in the Aranese capital for the first time in thirteen years, served to analyze the Pyrenees Strategy. This cross-cutting instrument seeks to generate employment and social opportunities for mountain region residents, with a progressive rollout extending until the end of the decade.
Among the actions planned for 2026 is the creation of the High Pyrenees and Aran Mobility Board, which will be established in Esterri d'Àneu in October. The goal is to design transport solutions adapted to the terrain and specific needs of the area.
The organization also announced new subsidy lines, including 125,000 euros for municipal path inventories. These grants complement existing funding for cultural promotion, museum maintenance, and support for the School of Shepherds and Shepherdesses of Catalonia.
Regarding innovation, the Digital Areas continue working on pilot projects such as digital monitoring for chronic patients and smart mobility systems. In Aran, the specific area has established itself as a benchmark for mountain logistics and livestock digitalization.
