The Generalitat, through the Territori department, has announced an investment of between 5 and 10 million euros for urgent works on the C-28 road, at Port de la Bonaigua, in Naut Aran, to address detected slope movements.

The Territori department is monitoring the situation 24 hours a day with on-site personnel to ensure the road remains open with maximum safety. Concurrently, work is underway on diagnosing and defining the most suitable technical solution for the identified problems.

This technical solution, which will be finalized within approximately 15 days, will be presented to the local mayors. The necessary works will be fast-tracked and are estimated to cost between 5 and 10 million euros.
Officials from Territori informed the mayors of Alt Pirineu and Aran about the planned actions between the Beret access and the summit of Port de la Bonaigua. These road slope movements are likely caused by recent episodes of accumulated water and snow.
The mayors of Pallars Sobirà had previously called for urgent solutions from the affected section of the C-28 and demanded the re-evaluation of the Bonaigua tunnel project. During the meeting, Territori officials indicated that the Generalitat would commission a preliminary feasibility study for the construction of this tunnel.
