Julián Fernández, a councilor for Aran Amassa at the Vielha e Mijaran Town Hall, has officially resigned this March 2026, citing political, ideological, and strategic reasons.

In a formal letter submitted to the local government of the capital of Aran, Fernández explained that current political circumstances prevent him from fulfilling his duties with the required responsibility. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the residents of Vielha e Mijaran since he first took office in 2019.

"These are reasons of a political, ideological, and strategic nature that prevent me from continuing to perform the functions inherent to the position."
