In a formal letter submitted to the local government of the capital of Aran, Fernández explained that current political circumstances prevent him from fulfilling his duties with the required responsibility. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the residents of Vielha e Mijaran since he first took office in 2019.

The Aran Amassa municipal group thanked Fernández for his dedication and active defense of local interests. The party confirmed that the administrative process to appoint the next member from the electoral list will take place in the coming days to ensure continuity in their opposition work.
