The Val d'Aran hosted on Saturday, August 29, the 29th edition of the 15 Villages Race and Walk, a well-established sporting event that this year brought together 466 participants.

The competition, one of the most deeply rooted in the region, combines sports practice with the knowledge and discovery of the valley's heritage and traditional paths. This year, the longest race covered 21.5 kilometers with 1,132 meters of positive elevation gain. The program also included a 15-kilometer walk, the 11-kilometer Arturo Riba Trophy, and the 5-kilometer Roland Giné Race and Walk, adapted for different participant profiles.
Of the total 466 registered participants, 196 were women and 270 were men. The event, starting in Es Bòrdes and with routes passing through various villages and areas of the valley, has established itself as a significant fixture in the Aran sports calendar and an activity to discover the territory from a different perspective.
The 29th edition has once again championed the value of the Val d'Aran's traditional paths as spaces for sports practice, connection between villages, and the discovery of Aran's natural and cultural heritage.
