From September 23rd to 30th, Val d'Aran participates in the European Week of Sport (#BeActive), an initiative by the European Commission to encourage physical activity and healthy lifestyles.

The Val d'Aran joins once again the European Week of Sport, celebrated between September 23rd and 30th across all European Union member states. This initiative, promoted by the European Commission under the slogan #BeActive, aims to foster physical activity, healthy lifestyle habits, and the importance of integrating movement and sport into daily life.
The Conselh Generau d’Aran, through its Department of Sports, invites the associative, educational, and sports network of the Valley to actively participate and give visibility to the campaign's message. It is emphasized that one does not need to be an elite athlete to practice sports; the essence is to move and make physical activity an integral part of life.
A call is made to sports clubs and entities, educational centers, federations, administrations, companies, athletes, and citizens to grow a sports culture and a more active life in the territory. The Department of Sports encourages entities to organize activities, sessions, or awareness actions during the week and to share them on social media using the hashtags #BeActive and #esportcat.
The European Week of Sport is presented as an opportunity to showcase the strength and diversity of the Aran sports community and to build a more active, healthy Val d'Aran committed to sport as a tool for well-being, education, and social cohesion.
