A significant rock landslide has forced the total closure of the C-28 highway at the Bonaigua Pass, located in Naut Aran, since Wednesday night.

Technicians arrived at the scene in the Val d'Aran early this Thursday to evaluate the stability of the slope. Their assessment will determine whether it is feasible to open a single lane for alternating traffic or if the road must remain closed for a longer period due to safety concerns.
Physical barriers, including snow piles and heavy machinery, have been placed at the summit to prevent unauthorized access. Despite clear electronic warning signs, several drivers have reportedly reached the blockage point after ignoring or failing to notice the closure notices.
