Road surface improvement works on the N-230 highway in the Lleida Pyrenees are now underway with an investment of 1.5 million euros. These interventions affect approximately 10 kilometers of a larger 50-kilometer stretch, located between kilometer points 124.9 and 174. The municipalities impacted by these improvements include El Pont de Suert, Vilaller, Vielha, Es Bòrdes, and Vilamòs.

Currently, the work is concentrated on the Vielha exit towards France, specifically at kilometer point 165. According to Ministry sources, weather permitting, the works in Vielha could be completed before the Sant Joan bridge. Subsequently, the tasks will move to other sections of the N-230 in Es Bòrdes and Vilamòs. In parallel, works are being finalized in El Pont de Suert and Vilaller, including the horizontal road marking.

These actions are part of the road surface maintenance contract for the 2024-2027 period in the provinces of Lleida and Tarragona, with a total allocation of 15.1 million euros. During the execution of the works, alternating lane closures will be implemented to ensure the safety of both workers and road users. These closures will be in effect from Monday to Thursday, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and on Fridays until 1:00 PM.

The Ministry emphasizes that this intervention will significantly improve the road surface condition, enhance road safety, and provide a more comfortable driving experience on a strategic axis connecting the Lleida region, the Pyrenees, and the Val d'Aran.
