Four dry stone walls located on paths in Aubèrt, Arròs, and Vila have been repaired after suffering damage during the winter months. These interventions, employing traditional techniques, aim to ensure wall stability and conserve their heritage value.
The art of dry stone construction was recognized by UNESCO in 2018, being included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The interventions had a budget of 12,388 euros, funded by the Department of Territory, Housing, and Ecological Transition of the Generalitat de Catalunya. These works are part of the conservation efforts for Aran's network of traditional paths, used for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking.
