The Storm Oriana will trigger orange alerts this Friday and Saturday in the Aran Valley and other Pyrenean regions due to violent wind gusts and snowfall.

Following the passage of storm Nils, a new deep depression named Oriana will hit Catalonia starting Friday afternoon. According to the Meteorological Service of Catalonia, the most affected areas will be the southern third and the Pyrenees, especially the Aran Valley.

"The combination of a very deep storm and a marked pressure gradient will generate a very intense northwestern flow resulting in very violent gusts."
