The 46th edition of the Marxa Beret, organized by the Conselh Generau d’Aran and Baqueira Beret, gathered nearly 700 skiers on the weekend of January 31 and February 1 at Plan de Beret.
The most popular national cross-country skiing competition featured four classic technique routes of 42, 21, and 10 kilometers, in addition to the Mini Marxa Beret of 5 kilometers. For the second consecutive year, the event was part of the prestigious Ski Classics Challengers circuit.
On Saturday, January 31, the Trofeu Sprint Iberdrola took place, counting towards the Spanish Sprint Cup. This event hosted around 150 of the country's top specialists at Plan de Beret, located in the Baqueira Beret ski resort.

"This 46th edition consolidates the Val d’Aran as a benchmark in cross-country skiing. It is not only a sporting competition but also a festival open to all ages and levels, an event that projects our territory, our culture, and our commitment to sports practice and nature."
Due to heavy snowfall throughout the week, the organization had to adapt the 21 and 42-kilometer circuits, avoiding the traditional descent to Montgarri. Nevertheless, the four defined distances were maintained for participants of all levels.

"This year we hope it will be an edition that we can realize in the best possible conditions. With the abundant snowfalls, we have had to work actively and constantly on the circuit, as it is more complex to mark and trace. We expect the presence of skiers from Norway, Argentina, France, and Andorra, among other nations, with 15% of participants coming from outside the national scene."
