The Servicis Assistenciaus Integrats d'Aran have organized a series of events in Vielha from March 5 to 8 to celebrate International Women's Day.

The program kicks off on March 5 at the Vielha General Library with the Sabers Collectius exhibition, showcasing creative processes in woodwork and ceramics through a community lens.
On March 6, author Paula Fernández-Ochoa will present her book Vivir corriendo at the Conselh Generau d'Aran, discussing the intersection of sports, demands, and gender perspectives.
The main event, the 12th Corsa dera Hemna, will take place on March 8. Starting at 11:00 AM from Plaça d'Aran, this traditional race aims to highlight social inequalities and defend the right to care.
The celebrations will conclude with a manifesto reading by Councilor Maria Menis and the race's award ceremony, marking a collective commitment to equality in the region.
