The new tender for the construction of a multi-family building with four homes and ten parking spaces in Salardú will close on February 9. This action follows the initial tender, presented in July 2025 with a budget of 916,000 euros, which received no offers, forcing the council to increase the investment.
The 400 square meter municipal plot is located in Plaça dera Pica, in the old quarter of Salardú. The building plans include homes between 75 and 90 square meters, with two two-bedroom flats (€450/month) and two three-bedroom flats (€600/month), prioritizing residents registered in Naut Aran.
“"This project, together with those in the villages of Garòs and Tredòs, will add six homes by 2026 to combat the lack of supply in the municipality."
This project is part of the municipal strategy to expand the protected housing stock, partially financed by the sale of plots in Baqueira. The goal is to mitigate the real estate pressure caused by ski tourism, which has led to the proliferation of tourist flats in the Val d'Aran (over 1,600).
The Naut Aran Council already renovated a flat in Garòs three years ago and allocated it for 450 euros per month. With the addition of the four new flats in Salardú and another planned in Tredòs, the municipality will dedicate a total of six homes to social rental in the coming years.
