The Vielha e Mijaran City Council has opened a 10-working-day period, starting January 27, 2026, to gather citizen input regarding the new regulation for the use of municipal sociocultural facilities.

The council in the Val d'Aran aims to establish a single and coherent legal framework for all its spaces, including Era Audiovisuau, the Cabana de Sasplàs, Eth Ressèc, the Casau deth Jubilat “Sant Miquèu”, and the Centre de Joenessa “Antara”.

"We want this regulation to be the result of dialogue and citizen participation. Sociocultural facilities are shared spaces that must be managed with clear and consensual criteria, to guarantee fair and respectful use for everyone."

Juan Antonio Serrano · Mayor of Vielha e Mijaran
This initiative aims to guarantee equal conditions in access and use of the spaces, facilitate clear cession procedures, and ensure the protection of municipal assets. The survey is available on the municipal website in Aranese, Spanish, and Catalan.
Citizen participation is considered essential for designing a consensual regulation that promotes the responsible use of public spaces and strengthens their role as places for gathering, coexistence, and social and cultural revitalization.
