The project's main objective is to guarantee accessibility, improve road safety, and promote pedestrian and bicycle mobility. Works include widening the southeast sidewalk on Manresa and Narcís Monturiol streets, implementing a cycling route, and planting trees along the path.
The southeast sidewalk will be widened, and a shared route for pedestrians and cyclists will be created. Existing overhead services will be buried, tree pits will be formed, trees will be planted, and an irrigation system installed. Additionally, parallel on-street parking will be signposted, and two raised intersections will be formed at the corners of Narcís Monturiol street with Sant Jordi and Anselm Clavé streets.
The project also includes new vertical and horizontal signage throughout the affected area and the creation of two rest areas at the intersections with Sant Jordi and Anselm Clavé streets, equipped with benches, bins, and trees. The aim is to create a circular route for pedestrians and cyclists connecting to the urban center and green areas of the industrial park, improving accessibility and increasing urban greenery.
During the works, vehicle traffic will generally be maintained, although temporary restrictions may be imposed with appropriate signage. Parking on the side of the affected sidewalk will be prohibited only during active work periods. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained at all times, ensuring safety.
Access to industrial properties will be maintained, with possible temporary restrictions and prior notice. Noise, vibrations, and dust are expected. For more information or to report incidents, contact the Technical Services of the Artés City Council at 93 830 50 01 or artes@artes.cat.
