Farmers and ranchers from the Revolta Pagesa collective will travel to Barcelona this Friday in a tractor rally starting from key points in Central Catalonia, including Bages and Berguedà, to demand sector improvements.

The farmers' concentrations have been called for early morning at several strategic points in Central Catalonia. Tractors will depart from the former Memfis nightclub in Sant Fruitós de Bages, the Cal Bassacs gas station in Berguedà, Gurb for farmers from Osona and Moianès, and El Vinyet for those from Solsonès.

"As in other mobilizations, we intend to bring up recurrent complaints from the sector in recent years, such as the excessive bureaucracy imposed on farmers, and continue our protest against the agreement between the EU and Mercosur."

The organizers of the protest, which commemorates the second anniversary of the movement, plan to converge around 12:00 PM in front of the Generalitat Department of Agriculture, located on the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes in Barcelona. This mobilization is intended to be symbolic, expected to gather around a hundred tractors, significantly fewer than the 2,000 that entered the Catalan capital two years ago.
The movement of these agricultural vehicles towards the Catalan capital may cause traffic problems on major roads such as the AP-7, C-17, or C-16, coinciding with a time of already complicated mobility on the Rodalies rail network. Farmers plan to spend the night from Friday to Saturday in front of the Department of Agriculture and remain in the city until Saturday afternoon to publicize their demands.
