The council calls for swift action to remove reeds and logs that could obstruct the natural water flow. In heavy rain, this vegetation could create a dangerous blockage at the Bauma factory bridge, causing the river level to rise and affect nearby homes in the Bauma and Burés neighborhoods.
The City Council points out that regular ACA subsidy calls are insufficient to address the current vegetation buildup and urges a prompt response from the Catalan Water Agency.
The priority areas identified for urgent action include the vicinity of the Bauma factory bridge, the Marà stream, and the final stretch of the Marganell stream where it converges with the Llobregat River in Burés.
The request has also been sent to the Directorate General of Civil Protection of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Territorial Delegation of the Generalitat Government in Central Catalonia, and the Territorial Service of Civil Protection in Barcelona.
