The data collected by Meteoguilleries at the automatic Mata station, located in the Parc Natural de Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac, indicates that 813 mm of rain accumulated during 2025. This figure is significant, arriving after three consecutive years with rainfall records below normal.
The evolution of precipitation was irregular, highlighting three particularly rainy months. March was the most significant, with 216 mm accumulated over 24 days of rain. December (123 mm) and July also stood out, with July breaking the typically dry summer dynamic.
The month of July broke the usually dry summer dynamic, registering 150 mm of rain over 10 days, a very infrequent occurrence.
Regarding temperatures, 2025 was characterized by mild values, with an annual average of 12.9 °C. The absolute minimum was -2 °C and the maximum reached 34.5 °C. These moderate values are partly explained by the station's altitude (912 meters), compared to other areas of Bages.
Furthermore, the station, operational since October 2020, underwent a major technical review this year, including the replacement of the rain gauge to ensure data reliability. Finally, the wind regime was notably intense throughout the year, with maximum gusts approaching 90 km/h.
