The Abadal winery, located in Bages, has been included for the second time in the prestigious 'The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands 2026' ranking by Drinks International magazine, solidifying its international presence.

This list, considered one of the most influential in the global wine sector, is compiled from the evaluations of international professionals, including sommeliers, buyers, Masters of Wine, and specialized journalists. These experts assess criteria such as quality, consistency, brand strength, and commitment to the territory and sustainability.
In the 2026 edition, Abadal holds the 40th position, standing out as one of the most relevant Spanish brands. The publication highlights the winery's work in recovering and enhancing a historic Catalan area, as well as its dedication to indigenous grape varieties and the genuine expression of the terroir. Its commitment to sustainability and the ability to offer wines with a unique identity that enrich the 'premium' narrative of Spanish wine beyond the most well-known appellations are also emphasized.

"Being part of this ranking again is a source of pride and recognition for a way of understanding wine deeply rooted in the territory. At Abadal, we work to express the identity of Pla de Bages, recover its winemaking legacy, and project it to the world with authenticity, quality, and respect for its origin."

The ranking also acknowledges Abadal's role as an ambassador for Pla de Bages internationally, with wines that convey authenticity, origin, and uniqueness. This inclusion, according to the winery itself, 'reinforces Abadal's trajectory as a project deeply linked to the landscape, history, and winemaking identity of the region'.
Other Spanish wineries featured in this edition include Familia Torres, Vega Sicilia, Cvne, La Rioja Alta, Marqués de Riscal, Marqués de Cáceres, Ramón Bilbao, Faustino, Juvé & Camps, Perelada, Codorníu, and Scala Dei. For Abadal, this distinction 'reaffirms its international projection and consolidates the winery as one of the Catalan brands with the most external recognition'.
