The Catalan Water Agency (ACA) has opened the tender for the design project to expand the wastewater treatment plant in Montmajor as of March 13.

With a budget exceeding 110,000 euros, the project aims to increase the facility's processing capacity. The agency emphasizes the use of BIM technology to ensure sustainable design and seamless integration into the local natural landscape of the Berguedà region.
Currently, 16 treatment plants operate in the area, covering 94% of the local sanitation needs. This new initiative is part of a broader network of 573 facilities managed by the ACA across Catalonia.
