The Barcelona Provincial Council has restricted access to several natural areas in Bages and closed the La Mola monumental site due to the high risk of forest fires.

The situation of extreme danger, marked by the Pla Alfa level 4, has forced preventive measures in the municipalities of Sant Vicenç de Castellet, Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort. Since Tuesday, access to natural areas in these locations has been limited to minimize the risk posed by human activity in forest zones.
In addition to access restrictions, which will remain in place until Friday, July 10, various activities scheduled in Mura and Rocafort have been cancelled, such as guided tours of the Mura cave and the walk to the Rocafort castle. Only residents and essential services will be allowed through.
At the same time, the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park has closed the La Mola monumental site as of this Wednesday. The measure aims to protect information service staff from the expected high temperatures, moving public assistance to the Monjos path in Matadepera.
