The event, titled Transfer of experiences from the Aigües de Manresa PERTE, focused on advanced network management. Esther Costa, operations director, and Sergi Compte from the Catalan Water Partnership, opened the session highlighting the need for shared knowledge.
A key highlight was the deployment of 3,750 sensors across the water network. Presented by Josep Maria Zaragoza, this sensor technology enables real-time monitoring and smarter operational decision-making to address modern infrastructure challenges.
“"It is essential to create technology transfer spaces between operators and companies to generate collective knowledge."
The project also features the redesign of telecontrol systems and GIS models using open-source technology. By integrating data through the Odoo platform, the company has improved hydraulic simulation and internal process planning.
