The former candidate for ERC's general secretary, Alba Camps, from Puig-reig, will take the seat in the Catalan Parliament starting in February, replacing Tània Verge.

Camps, who previously served as a deputy from 2021 to 2024, will accept the mandate after Verge announced this Friday that she is leaving the Catalan chamber.
Alba Camps was number 16 on the Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya list in the elections held on May 12, 2024, for the Barcelona constituency.
The new deputy was the number two on the opposition list against the party's current president, Oriol Junqueras, during the internal Congress electoral process in 2024, representing the Nova Esquerra Nacional faction.
With her incorporation, the ERC parliamentary group gains a figure representing the party's internal critical sector.
