Founded in December 2000, the center now serves a population of 11,640 residents across six municipalities. During the institutional ceremony at the Dos de Gener hall, officials highlighted the team's innovative approach and its status as the best-managed primary care unit in the region for 2025.

The event featured local actress Mont Plans, who shared anecdotes about the town's medical history before the modern CAP Doctor Agustí Garriga was built. Current director Rosa Farrés emphasized the collaborative work with local schools and nursing homes as a key factor in their success.
