Professionals from 14 nursery schools in Bages gathered this Wednesday outside the Central Catalonia Territorial Services to demand structural improvements for the 0 to 3-year-old educational sector.

The protest, held between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM, coincided with a national teachers' strike. Educators formed an assembly during the meeting to coordinate future actions and present their demands formally to the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The group is focusing on the need to reduce student-to-teacher ratios and increase resources for inclusive education. They also demand that the 0 to 3-year-old stage be recognized with the same educational status as the 3 to 6-year-old stage, including equal pay.
A key demand is the transfer of all nursery school management to the public administration. Protesters argue that direct management by the Government is the only way to ensure job stability and pedagogical quality for all families in the region.
