The Central Catalonia Branch of the Journalists' Association will hold the Batec Awards on March 6th in Manresa, recognizing excellence in journalism across five different categories.

Investigative journalist Jordi de Planell has been named Journalist of the Year for his work uncovering the Operación Cataluña case. Career achievement awards will be presented to Gonçal Mazcuñán and Josep Genescà for their long-standing contributions to the regional media.
Local initiatives Televisió del Berguedà and the digital platform El Ganxo will also be honored during the ceremony at the Baroque Museum of Catalonia. The trophies have been handcrafted by members of the Ampans Foundation.
