Actor Carles Gilabert, from Manresa, presents this Friday the film Balandrau, vent salvatge, an emotional account of the mountain accident that shocked the Ripollès region in 2000.

Directed by Fernando Trullols, the production recreates the events of December 30, 2000, when a severe snowstorm trapped several hikers, resulting in seven fatalities. Carles Gilabert plays Santi, one of the volunteer firefighters from Camprodon involved in the rescue operations.

"The movie is not just about a tragedy; despite everything, it is a song to life."
