The Catalonia railway network will increase its speed-limited sections from 183 to 193 starting next week, according to internal Adif documents.

While the number of sections grows, the total distance affected will slightly decrease to 190 kilometers. New restrictions will specifically impact the R4 line between Manresa and Terrassa, where trains must slow down to 30 km/h due to infrastructure issues.
The crisis has led to political fallout, with the Parliament demanding the resignation of Minister Sílvia Paneque. Adif and Renfe expect full service normality to be restored by April once emergency repairs are completed.
