The Festa dels Traginers in Balsareny will dominate the agenda from Friday through Sunday. Highlights include the Mercat del Traginer (Arriero Market) throughout the weekend, the youth cavalcade on Saturday, and the grand Traginers cavalcade on Sunday morning, featuring the blessing of animals and carriages. There will also be fire runs (correfocs), concerts with La Sra Tomasa, and the traditional Torrada del Traginer barbecue.
Carnival celebrations will take center stage in several towns. In Berga, the party extends with the arrival of the cinema queens, the 4th Descent of Andròmies and Various Junk, and the main parade on Saturday, culminating in the Cornuts dance. Solsona celebrates its Carnival with the Orquestra Patinfanjàs, the Nit Electrònica Festa Flaix, and the traditional Flour War on Sunday.
The program ranges from the Rice Festival in Bagà to the Quim Masferrer show in Calaf, offering a wide cultural variety.
Other cultural events include the Festa de l’Arròs (Rice Festival) in Bagà, featuring a craft fair and the distribution of rice in the Plaça Porxada on Sunday. In Calaf, theatrical performances stand out, such as L’arquitecte prohibit, a tribute to Antoni Gaudí, and the show by comedian Txabi Franquesa.
Regarding markets, Capellades hosts its antiques and collectibles market on Sunday, as does Sant Fruitós de Bages. Finally, Manresa will be the setting for the recording of the Formula Student single-seater car by the EPSEM team on the Avinguda de les Bases de Manresa on Sunday evening.
