Covisa Manresa confirmed this Tuesday the signing of Sergi Piquer to strengthen their futsal first team in Manresa following a series of injuries within the squad.

The 18-year-old player, who was trained in the club's youth academy, arrives from Monistrol Futsal Club. This signing was fast-tracked due to the numerous injuries affecting the squad managed by Jairo Molero.
Due to these absences, the coach has been forced to call up several youth players for the Copa Catalunya match against Molins 99. Sergi Piquer will not be able to play in this match due to Catalan Football Federation regulations.
The new signing is expected to make his official debut this weekend in the league match against CCR Castelldefels. This game is crucial for Covisa Manresa as they fight to remain in the Second Division B.
Sergi Piquer is familiar with the club, having played in the youth ranks from the U-14 level until his first year as a U-19 player. The club stated that this is the first of several planned signings of former youth players for the upcoming season.
