The resumption of the Rodalies service at L'Hospitalet station started with delays exceeding half an hour on the R1 and R4 lines, leading to widespread user frustration.

The morning of January 23, 2026, was complicated at the L’Hospitalet de Llobregat station. Commuters, fewer in number than usual, suffered delays of more than 30 minutes on both the R1 and R4 lines. This situation occurred shortly after Renfe, Adif, and the Govern reached an agreement with the train drivers to carry out extraordinary safety inspections.

Beyond the delays, the R4 line remains cut between Martorell and Sant Vicenç de Calders due to the accident that took place on Monday, which caused the death of a driver and nearly 40 injuries. An alternative road service is being offered for travelers affected by this section.
The Generalitat, aiming to prevent further complications, announced that reinforcements on the Ferrocarrils lines and interurban buses will be maintained until next Wednesday, January 28. Additionally, the Low Emission Zones (ZBE) are temporarily suspended, and the presence of station informers has been reinforced.
