A family including two minors was evicted this Tuesday from their home in Manresa while the father was hospitalized at Sant Joan de Déu, following a court order.

The Mossos d'Esquadra police force deployed a significant operation to secure the area around Puigmercadal street. The property is owned by the Divarian investment fund. Activists from the PAHC housing rights group gathered to protest, but the eviction proceeded after judicial authorities rejected medical appeals.
Local housing advocates warn that the increasing number of evictions is overwhelming emergency resources in the Bages region, forcing displaced families to seek temporary shelter in nearby towns like Berga or Súria.
