The agreement between Ramon Bacardit and Sergi Perramon follows a period of negotiations aimed at unifying the local nationalist vote. This strategy was publicly encouraged by former President Artur Mas during a visit to the city in January, where he advocated for a cohesive front to win the mayoralty.
“"I will sit down with Avenç Nacionalista and Impulsem Manresa to ensure that Manresa changes course."
The coalition focuses on shared priorities such as public safety, housing squats, and residency registration policies. In the 2023 elections, Junts secured six seats, while Perramon obtained two. They now aim to displace the current governing coalition led by ERC, PSC, and Impulsem.
