The municipal group Junts per Manresa, led by Ramon Bacardit, has asked the mayor to annul the fines imposed between November 24 and January 12 following the relocation of the camera on Santa Maria street.
The president of the Junts municipal group in the Manresa City Council, Ramon Bacardit Reguant, has registered a formal request asking for the annulment of all sanctioning files opened over nearly two months. These files stem from the relocation of the access control camera in the pedestrian zone of Santa Maria street, near Gispert square.
The controversy arises because the Municipal Government announced the completion of the redevelopment works and the new mobility organization, including the camera displacement, on Friday, November 21, activating the sanctioning device the following Monday, November 24.
“
"Giving notice via a press release on a Friday at the end of November and activating the sanctioning device the following Monday does not give citizens a real margin for adaptation."
According to Junts per Manresa, this lack of prior notice has especially affected parents taking their children to the Conservatori de Música or the Institut Manresa, who use the same route daily. Furthermore, the photo-fining system prevents drivers from having immediate knowledge of the infraction, leading some families to accumulate multiple fines for the same reason.

"Urban and mobility changes must be made considering people and proportionality criteria. Informing properly and allowing time for adaptation is not an exception; it is an obligation."
