The Lacetània Institute in Manresa is celebrating the 40th edition of its technical conferences from March 23 to 27, focusing this year on sustainable production and consumption models.

This event has become a knowledge hub in Central Catalonia over the last four decades. This year's program aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 12, offering practical workshops on industrial waste reduction and repairability.
The opening lecture will be held on Monday, March 23, by Toni Lodeiro, author of the book Consumir menos, vivir mejor. Lodeiro is a prominent expert in conscious consumption who has worked with major city councils across Spain.
Key speakers include CSIC scientist Antonio Turiel, an expert on the energy crisis, and social economy specialist Gerard Pijoan. Cristina Casanova and entrepreneur Ricard Jornet will also discuss circular business models.
