The Mossos d'Esquadra deployed a large operation this Monday morning to execute the eviction of a family residing in Block 8 of Passatge Tudela in Manresa.

The Mossos d'Esquadra sealed off all access points to Passatge Tudela in Manresa since early this Monday morning, using vans and agents to guard the entrances to carry out the eviction.
Block 8 is considered an emblem of the Platform of People Affected by Mortgages and Capitalism (PAHC), which has carried out various mobilizations to stop the action. About a hundred activists spent the night inside the building, and another hundred are waiting outside for the judicial delegation.

It would be the first of the nine liberated blocks to be evicted. In all the others, agreements have been reached that resulted in social rents.

The building, where six families with eight minors live, is owned by the investment fund Cerberus, which has not agreed to any settlement. Despite the interest of the Manresa City Council and the Catalan Housing Agency in purchasing the property, the owner refused to yield.
