A modern and adapted residential space for people with intellectual disabilities.

The Mayor of Manresa, Marc Aloy, visited the Llar Mion residential facility this Wednesday, a center managed by Ampans providing support for adults with intellectual disabilities in Bages.

The visit was part of the Mayor in the Neighborhoods institutional initiative, aimed at gaining first-hand knowledge of these community-integrated living spaces. During the day, Aloy and councilor Lluís Vidal Sixto met with residents and staff.
These residential homes are designed to guarantee the right to decent housing and promote personal autonomy. The care model relies on multidisciplinary teams working on individualized life plans, adapting to the needs and rhythms of each person in modern environments.
The meeting highlighted the role of residential resources as an essential tool for social inclusion. The model supported by Manresa City Council focuses on a rights-based approach and active participation in community life.
