Residents of building number 59 on Circumval·lació street in Manresa remain displaced this Monday as municipal technicians work to secure the staircase and restore power after a serious fire.

The fire, which started on Sunday afternoon, completely destroyed the building's electrical panel and damaged the structural integrity of the stairs. Manresa City Council experts are currently deciding when it will be safe for residents to return.
Seven people spent the night at the Carme Youth Hostel, while others stayed with friends. During the emergency, Bombers de la Generalitat rescued seven residents from their balconies due to heavy smoke filling the building.
