The Manresa City Council has been unable to reopen the Balç street to the general public for a year and a half following significant delays in accessibility works.

The 50,000 euro project began in September 2024 but faced complications when the original contractor resigned. Although construction was completed last December, pending interior upgrades such as air conditioning and IT equipment prevent a full reopening of this medieval landmark.
A special open day is scheduled for this Saturday, February 21st, during the Festa de la Llum, but regular tourist visits remain suspended until further notice.
