The Manresa Investigation Unit of the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested four people in Sallent on January 20 for cultivating 796 marijuana plants inside an industrial warehouse.

The arrests, involving one woman and three men aged between 22 and 52, are the result of an investigation launched in October following suspicions of a plantation operating in the Polígon Berenguer in Sallent.
During the raid on the warehouse located on Caseta d'en Camp street, officers found two rooms containing 796 plants in the flowering stage, some reaching two meters in height.
In addition to the live plants, the police discovered two rooms with cut plants and a large drying room containing nearly 90 kilograms of marijuana buds, some of which were already bagged for distribution.
The detainees were also charged with electricity fraud, having created a hole in the floor to connect illegally to the power supply. Two of the arrested individuals had prior records for similar offenses and were brought before the court in Manresa.
It is noteworthy that this same warehouse was the target of a previous police operation on July 10, 2023, when the Mossos dismantled a much larger plantation, seizing 2,331 plants and arresting three people.
