Marta Soldado wins the Amat-Piniella Prize with a novel narrated by a horse

Writer Marta Soldado has been named the winner of the 26th Joaquim Amat-Piniella Prize for narrative in Manresa this February for her novel Al bosc vermell, un cavall fuig.

The award, organized by Òmnium Bages-Moianès and the Manresa City Council, includes a 2,000 euro prize. The novel, published by Angle Editorial, follows the journey of a Przewalski horse through Ukraine and Poland after escaping Chernobyl.

The jury praised the originality and sensitivity of the work. The official ceremony will be held on February 25th at the Espai Plana de l'Om auditorium in Manresa.
