The unified demand arises from the worsening communications in the region due to the crisis in the Rodalies Renfe network, which currently maintains the interruption of train circulation between Manresa and Terrassa. This situation is being replaced by a provisional bus service with insufficient hourly frequency.
The Government does not take into account our need for connection with the capital.
The action culminated in the presentation of a manifesto in Sant Fruitós de Bages, with the participation of the mayor of that town, Joan Carles Batanés; along with the mayors of Castellnou de Bages, David Canyadó; of Sant Joan de Vilatorrada, Jordi Solernou; and of Marganell, Ramon Costa. Also present were Manresa councilor and deputy Ramon Bacardit, and the president of APAES, Ferran Boixadós.
The signatories demand a «rectification» from the Generalitat's Department of Territory regarding the refusal to lift the toll barriers on the C-16 at Sant Vicenç de Castellet/Castellbell. They criticize the treatment as undignified, especially after the Generalitat opted for total free passage on the C-32 in the Garraf area due to similar Rodalies disruptions.
The organizers lament the differentiated treatment, arguing that vehicles using both the C-32 and the C-16 contribute equally to congestion entering Barcelona. Furthermore, they reject the argument that discounts already exist, as these do not cover Rodalies users who, due to the exceptional nature of the situation, must use the toll road temporarily without having been able to register their vehicles beforehand.
