Point guard Dani García joins Hiopos Lleida on loan until end of season

The Mataró-born player arrives at Barris Nord from UCAM Murcia after his successful years in Manresa.

Hiopos Lleida has secured the signing of point guard Dani García, who joins the Barris Nord arena on loan from UCAM Murcia until the end of the current season.

The Mataró native, who developed through the Bàsquet Manresa youth system, is looking for more playing time after a difficult spell in Murcia. Under coach Sito Alonso, he had not played a single minute in the Liga Endesa this season, only appearing in European fixtures.
At 28 years old, García brings five seasons of top-flight experience. He reached his peak performance during the 2023/24 season in the Bages region under Pedro Martínez, which led to his move to Murcia last summer.
This season, he averaged 5.2 points and 3.4 assists in 11 FIBA Europe Cup games, including a notable performance of 11 points and 6 assists against the Polish side Energa Trefl Sopot.
